Playa Del Carmen.

Located 50 minutes south of Cancun and 1 hour north of Tulum lies the city of Playa Del Carmen. It’s a coastal resort town and known for being walkable, the main strip called Quinta Avenida is a five mile long pedestrian walkway lined with shops, restaurants, clubs, hotels and seemingly endless things to do. From the beaches of Playa Del Carmen you can see the famous island of Cozumel, which lies just a short ferry ride away. Many tourists come to experience its world class scuba diving and snorkeling, it is home to the second biggest coral reef in the world. 

 

Exploring Playa Del Carmen you’ll find a wide variety of things for anyone to do, peaceful hidden cafes, beautiful wall murals decorating the city, flowers perennially  blooming, all inclusive resorts, hostels and boutique hotels.

 

Playa Del Carmen was the second town to be developed in the Mayan Riviera after Cancun. It still has its charming beach town vibes with the convenience of a big city, malls, movie theaters, hospitals,  etc
